I entered the Kalkhovens’ lives in 2004 when Kevin and Kimm gave me the opportunity to test in an American open-wheel series. My US racing career started there. If they hadn’t given me that chance, the last twenty-two years would have looked nothing like they have.
Kevin and Kimm, and their family, saw philanthropy not only as giving financially, but more importantly as giving experiences and opportunities. The Kalkhoven Foundation exists for those same reasons. They embrace potential and provide opportunities and experiences to foster growth in people who may not otherwise have the means or the paths.
I thank the Kalkhovens for everything they’ve done for me in my racing career and in my life. The Kalkhoven Foundation is a shining example of what a little foresight and a lot of kindness can do to change lives for the better.

Founded in order to honour the memory of Kevin Kalkhoven, The Kalkhoven Foundation was established by his surviving family to provide opportunities for those children living in underprivileged backgrounds, championing education with an emphasis on STEM technologies.
